Mother
You were there for me when I was a child
When I got scared of the dark and skinned my knee
You were always right there next to me
And I looked up into your eyes and smiled
As I grew up to me you started to style
The newest trend that was my best friend
You would always be there for me until the end
You always made everything worthwhile
Now that I am almost an adult
I hope we will never fall apart
We will stay together as a result;
Our mother daughter love that won’t depart
Coming to you with problems to consult
Because you were there for me from the start.
Michelle Smith
She is not a myth
She could pitch fast
And she is not a thing of the past
There once was a girl that had a mysterious dream
Whose always long to be on a softball team
She got up to the plate
Not knowing her fate
Figuring out nothing is what it seams.
There once was a boy who was good at track
Sooner of later he would have to pack
To move to HCC trying not to fear
As he holds back his tear
Pursuing his career in track.
Or do would you like the 3rd and 4th line better if it stated:
To move to HCC
Coming home every weekend to see Kelsey?
There once was a girl named Whitley
She was sometimes very ditsy,
She went out with a football star
Who once she had to carry to the car
On the softball field we call her Willie.

Daughter to Mother
From the Day I was born you were my protector for the world, the hands that held me close when something was wrong and the one I couldn’t be without.
As I grew up you were the one I couldn’t play without and who provided everything for me.
Now I am almost out on my own you are my motivator, my protector, and my best friend for ever to be.
Life is like:
A movie that ends before you know it,
A softball game that is played,
A basketball game that has many quarters,
A book with many chapters,
A rainbow with many colors,
And a game with flaws but many chances to fix them
Wrote on my own time..
Anticipation, hearts racing,
Ives running, and nurses coming,
A grandpa, dad, and husband,
Laying there nervous as can be,
As the doctor says it’s time,
He says “I’ll be back I have
Too many kids for me to go
To the heavens above,”
As eight hours pass by know one,
Knows why it’s taking longer than expected to be,
Doctor comes in and says everything’s fine,
He’ll be done in a bit,
Relief that everything’s ok we wait,
To see him and end our rough day.
Wrote on my own
Love Song
I sing of our love for each other,
Of you and me forever to be,
Of each day that flies by
And know one knows why,
I sing of our memories together,
Starting out slow,
Then speeding up fast,
Until everything we do,
Means everything to me and you,
I sing of my dreams,
Of you and me,
A white picket fence,
And a bride to be,
I sing of the day that I say,
‘til death due us part,
Yes you’re the one for me,
Of you and me forever to be.

In the classroom—
Looking toward goals,
With high expectations,
For every situation.
On the field—
Comfortable, strong, loud,
A leader,
Shouting out plays,
To others.
Or
On the field—
It’s my place,
To be me a,
Leader with security.
Which one do you think would be better?
Will the memories stay?
Of you and me,
Or will they fade away,
Or will the memories stay,
Of us once together,
Young and in love,
Together forever.
Why am I on cloud nine?
When I’m with you,
Or you hold me close,
Or when I hear your voice,
Or why am I on cloud nine,
When why talk about you,
Or even when I’m hear,
Without you knowing,
Everything will be ok.
How can I be sure?
That everything will be ok,
With you there and me here,
With miles between us,
Or how can I be sure,
That you love me and care,
With everything you say I do dare,
To ask you are you sure?
Am I ready?
To move on to another chapter,
In my life,
Will I fail or achieve my goals,
Or am I ready,
To realize it’s time to move on,
To a knew place,
To meet knew people,
And leave everything I’ve known.
Softball Equipment
My family is like softball equipment:
Dad is the helmet that protects everyone from everything,
Mom is the batting gloves she uses her hands to help protect the serious vibrations during your life,
Dylan is the sliding pad he might not be noticed all the time as a big help but when you slide into a situation he’s there,
Grandma Lee is like a glove no matter what she catches everything,
Grandpa Lee is like a pair of sliding shorts quiet but knows just when to speak up in a stilling situation,
Dakota is like the cleats he never misses a base while helping you go for the gold,
I am the player I bring us all together at the right time.
My moms like a teddy bear:
She has the soft grip as she hugs you,
She is always there for you when you have a bad dream,
She always listens to you no matter what,
She does so much for you without you knowing,
Most of all she loves you no matter what you do.
I am like a diamond:
I am very bright when the sun beams on me,
I am hard because I stand up for what I believe,
I am very valuable to the people around me,
I am very unique in every single way,
My mind is clear yet everyone around me loves diamonds.
